Owned by Cynthia & Val Lemen since 2013
Cynthia and Val Lemen opened Divine Beauty Studio with a simple vision: a happy, peaceful space where guests and artists alike feel at home. Alongside classic services, we offer organic and gentler options for guests who prefer a cleaner salon experience, and our retail lines feature natural, botanically infused ingredients.
Our team is made up of independent beauty professionals who have worked side by side for 13 years. Each artist manages her own schedule, services, pricing and products, and we all share a commitment to continuing education and to caring for every guest.
Outside the studio, music fills the Lemen household. Cynthia and Val perform together as the regional act Cool Lemon, and Val is also a favorite entertainer at local retirement communities. Cynthia narrates audiobooks as GiGi Lemon. Between them they have seven children, including Julia, our nail artist, and a growing crew of grandchildren.
Cynthia Lemen
Owner · Master Lash & Permanent Makeup Artist
Cynthia and her husband, Val, opened Divine Beauty Studio in January 2013. A licensed esthetician, Cynthia specializes in lash extensions and lifts, brow design, and permanent makeup, bringing 20 years of lash experience and a calm, careful approach to every appointment.
In 2006, Cynthia became Michigan’s first NovaLash eyelash extension artist, training with NovaLash’s lead research scientist in Chicago, and earned advanced certification in New York in 2009. In 2018 she completed a rigorous 12-month program with Brow Design International of New York to become an Elite Certified Microblade Artist. She has since been personally mentored in modern micropigmentation by international permanent makeup artist Kristina Melnicenco and has privately studied master-level techniques with award-winning Russian artist Elena Blinova.
Today her permanent makeup services include ombré/powder brows, eyeliner, and lip blush. She is also certified in Li-FT, an all-natural saline method for lightening existing tattoos, and offers Sculpted Brows, her own approach to brow lamination.

Kris Teer
Master Stylist · Lead Organic Colorist
Kris is a Master Stylist and our lead Organic Colorist. With years of advanced training in precision cutting, she’s skilled in today’s color trends, from balayage “hair painting” to fun, vibrant accents like blue and purple. A well-rounded stylist, Kris enjoys caring for the whole family, from grandma’s roller set and perm to baby’s first haircut. She’s also experienced in gentlemen’s “color blending” to gently soften gray, sun-kissed highlights, multi-tonal dimension, and giving bushy brows a clean arch. Her warm, caring personality is one of the very best things about Kris!

Kim Binkley
Master Stylist · Organic Colorist
Kim has over 20 years of experience behind the chair. A color specialist with a gift for precision cutting, she has attended many continuing education classes and is skilled at guiding clients to just the right color and cut. Her down-to-earth manner and attention to detail help guests feel comfortable in her hands. She also specializes in organic and dimensional color.

Maranda Roberson
Studio Lash Extension Artist
Maranda is a sought-after Studio Lash Artist and a talented hair stylist, with over 17 years behind the chair and many continuing education classes in cutting and color. She apprenticed with Master Lash Artist Cynthia Lemen, received her NovaLash Artist certification in July 2020, and is also certified in European Lash Lift & tint. Along with lash services, Maranda offers brow shaping and tinting. A natural-born artist, she’s loved for her creative color work and the beautiful lashes she applies. Her cheerful laugh and gentle manner are a friendly hallmark of the “Divine culture.”

Julia Pendred
Nail Artist
Julia has been delighting Divine guests since 2016. A naturally gifted artist, she brings creativity and attention to detail to every manicure and pedicure. She’s excellent with nail art. Show her a picture, and she can do it! Julia cares for the fingers and toes of men as well as women and receives many compliments on her foot massages. A little trivia about our nail artist: she was born in Russia and is the daughter of our salon owner, Cynthia!
